"Sing Like Thais!" Workshop with Thai Youth Choir

SCS is privileged to attend the 'Sing like Thais' workshop, hosted by Mr Rungtum KIATSRICHART with Thai Youth Choir (TYC) serving the demonstration choir!

Using Lao Duang Deuan as an example piece, we were introduced to the language, tone colour, timbre, phrasing and the local interpretation of Thai folk songs.

Our SCS members also shared a variety of local snacks with the TYC singers, not limited to rojak, otah and an assortment of traditional kueh. It was a fun and meaningful afternoon of cultural exchange!
